You may have had difficulty finding stylish, affordable pieces for your wardrobe if you are a plus size . You’re not the only one.
Most stores don’t carry clothes in sizes above 12 or 14. If they do, the clothes aren’t as cute as those for smaller sizes. That’s not fair in my opinion! I have been lucky enough to find some stores who seem to think that style is the same whether you are a size 2 22.
Here is a list of my ten top favorite plus-size stores I know I can rely on:

10. Avenue
Although Avenue caters exclusively to plus-size women I have found that the clothes are more suited to older women and some items can be expensive.
The store has great quality, and it should, considering the price! But I always wait until their sales to shop.
9. Ross/ TJMaxx/ Marshalls
It’s no secret that I avoid shopping at stores such as TJMaxx and Marshalls because they are always crowded and the store is always a mess. Recently, I discovered that the store has a lot of hidden gems!
You may find that you go home empty handed at times. If you’re patient and have the time, you may find your favorite shirt for a great price.
8. Torrid
Although I don’t like all the Torrid clothes, there are some nice ones at a reasonable price.
Torrid is my go-to place when I can’t find a certain piece anywhere else. They almost always have it! It’s hit or miss for me; I either love everything or hate it. But it’s worth a look, if you need new pieces to fill your closet.
7. Macy’s
When it comes to plus size fashion, my favorite department store is Macy’s.
Keep an eye out for their sale section, which is usually filled with great pieces at affordable prices.
6. Modcloth
Modcloth is one of our favorites here at CF. It’s great for vintage- and retroinspired pieces. It’s so good that I can’t find a store with the same pieces for plus-size ladies!
Although some of the clothes are out of my price range, I’ve found some really great pieces, especially in their Sale section. Only downside is some of the prices are high. However, if you sign up for the Modsquad Community you can get discounts on your order!
5. H&M
H&M has always been stylish and affordable. Their sizing is also getting more inclusive. Most of their items are now available up to size 20 and some even higher.
H&M is ranked fifth only because some of their stores do not carry an extensive range of sizes and their quality can sometimes be sub-par. H&M’s prices are generally great.
4. Old Navy
Old Navy has always been one of my favorite stores for basics like cardigans and leggings.
The prices are affordable for college students and although their clothes may not look exactly like those on the runway, they are perfect for class or for internships when accessorized with accessories.
3. Universal Standard
Universal Standard has already dominated the plus-size fashion scene.
Every product in the collection is available in sizes 00-40. The brand carries everything from denim to loungewear, all with a timeless, high-end feel.
They are not cheap but their styles are of high quality. This is where you should shop if you’re looking for chic, sophisticated items that will last years.
2. ASOS
ASOS ASOS , a UK-based fashion retailer is another of our favorites at CF. Their clothes are similar to H&M and there is something for everyone. Curve is their plus-size line.
ASOS’s pricing can be either high or low. They can offer some great deals, but they can also charge a lot. Be sure to look for coupons and take advantage of the 10% student discount.
1. Eloquii
Shop for fashion-forward plus-size clothing up to size 26 at Eloquii!
Although some of the newer pieces can be a bit pricey, their sale section has so many that it’s hard to resist. The prices are also quite reasonable – particularly when compared with their regular prices.
If you’re a fan of changing up your wardrobe, you can even rent clothes from the brand every month.
